Refund Policy

What happens if something is not right. Short version: the book is Amazon's to refund, consulting is ours, and nothing is sold on this website itself.

The book

117 Days of Stoic Meditations: of a Simple Businessman is sold and shipped by Amazon, in hardcover and on Kindle. That means Amazon handles returns and refunds, not us. Their policy applies, their window applies, and their returns process is the one to use — we have no ability to refund a purchase we never took payment for.

If a copy arrives damaged or a Kindle file will not open, Amazon will replace it faster than we could. If you have a problem their process does not cover, write to us anyway and we will help how we can.

There is no checkout on this website

We do not take card payments here. Stripe, Apple Pay, and on-site checkout are not active, and no digital product is delivered from this site. If a page ever asks you for card details on stoicconsultingfirm.com, it is not us — close it and call (915) 290-8871.

Consulting

Consultations are free and cost you nothing to cancel.

Paid work is set out in a written engagement agreement, and that agreement's cancellation and payment terms are the ones that govern. As a general basis, unless your agreement says otherwise:

• Before work starts. Cancel more than five business days before the agreed start and any deposit is returned in full. Inside five business days, we may keep a reasonable amount for time already committed and turned away.
• Once work is under way. Either side may end the engagement in writing. You pay for work completed and costs already committed up to that point; anything you have paid beyond that is returned.
• Fixed-price deliverables. If we do not deliver what the agreement describes, you do not pay for it. If it is delivered and does not meet the agreed specification, tell us within 14 days and we will put it right at no charge, or refund that deliverable if we cannot.
• Work already delivered and accepted is not refundable, because the value has transferred.

How to raise it

Call (915) 290-8871 or write to [email protected] and say what went wrong. We respond within one business day and aim to settle it within ten. Approved refunds go back the way the payment came, usually within five to ten business days after that.

We would rather fix the work than refund it, and we would rather hear the complaint early than read it in a review.
